5 Quick Facts about the Selangor Maritime Gateway

Klang River used to be a wonderful glory back then, not just cleaning the river but also improving the water quality and developing the area. As regards matter, Selangor Maritime Gateway has managed to clear up to 50,000 of debris along the Klang River. As a result of clearer water, the level has increased from level 5 to level 3 and 2B in certain areas, suitable for recreational activities. Along the 56km length of Klang River, there are 4 municipal councils which include Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam, Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Majlis Pembandaran Klang. In the near future, Klang River will be turned into a source economy to SMG Project whereby the components involved in tourism, hospitality and service industry.
