January 2026 Water Quality Monitoring Overview at Klang River Stations

Here is our January 2026 monitoring results to provide an overview of the water quality conditions observed at two monitoring stations.

At Teluk Menegon, 55% of the days were recorded under Water Class III and 45% of days in Water Class IV. Overall, the water quality at this station was predominantly defined by moderate water quality conditions.

Meanwhile, Pengkalan Batu Station recorded 16% of days in Water Class III and 84% of days in Water Class IV. The water quality at this location may be attributed to suspected effluent discharge from nearby industrial activities along the river.

These observations shows the importance of continuous monitoring and ongoing efforts to enhance the water quality at the Klang River.
