SMG Welcomes MUFG as Strategic Partner with AFFIN Group to Support Klang River Rehabilitation
Earlier today, we proudly welcomed MUFG as our newest strategic partner alongside AFFIN Group, in a continued commitment to support SMG’s sustainable river rehabilitation efforts. This meaningful collaboration, made possible through AFFIN Group and MUFG’s sponsorship of the Interceptor 002 at Klang River, reflects our shared vision for a cleaner, healthier waterway for future generations.
We were deeply honoured by the presence of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, who officiated the ceremony.

Also present was Mr. Marco Piet, from The Ocean Cleanup, our technology provider for the Interceptor 002 initiative.
The ceremony included a visit to the Interceptor 002 to symbolise the strength of collaboration in driving environmental progress.
Adding a memorable highlight to the day, there was a special performance by Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Ambassador of AFFIN Group, delivering a heartfelt musical presentation that resonated with the spirit of the occasion.
